Nomad as a launchpad to the Eos ecosystem
Everything you program in Nomad, from creating palettes and Magic Sheets to designing complex sequences, is identical on Eos consoles. Menus, workflows, and commands are replicated, so jumping from laptop to stage is as easy as pressing “Go.”
In addition ETC has a student bonus: If you are a student or part of a training center, you can opt for the Education license and access all of Nomad's features at a lower price, so your training is 100% real (and without breaking the bank).
Nomad Hardware vs. Physical Table: Universe Exit
The big difference between a control console and ETC Nomad lies primarily in the management of DMX universes. Nomad works with channel licenses: the basic switch controls 1K (1024 channels), and with an upgrade, you can upgrade to 6K (6 channels). The consoles have 144, 4, or 8 built-in universes… but they require a much larger investment.
The Gadget II: Your Gateway to the Stage
To convert your Nomad commands into real DMX/RDM, simply plug in the ETC Gadget II to USB. It offers two universes per unit, and if you need more, you can link up to four gadgets for eight universes. It's robust, compact, and plug-and-play: the easiest way to have reliable DMX outputs without the hassle of drivers or extra hardware.
And if you see that you want to go a step further, the Programming Wing It's a perfect match: a compact control desk that adds multiple dedicated buttons and encoders right where you need them.
