Prolight + Sound turns 30. These were the highlights of 2025.

Another year, the Prolight + Sound Frankfurt, was the place where the industry's top contenders gathered to learn firsthand what future paths lighting and stage mechanics are taking. The brands came fully charged and presented many new products, and of course, part of the Stonex team traveled to Frankfurt to make sure we didn't miss a thing. New equipment, surprising technology, and a lot of excitement to try it all out. The summary? Very interesting things are coming... and a few surprises.

This year, in addition, the fair has celebrated its 30 º aniversario, and he has done it in style: more than 500 exhibitors from 34 countries They filled the pavilions with innovation and trends. Among the major lighting and rigging companies that attended and enjoyed great success were Ayrton, ETC, Claypaky, Moveket, Portman Lights and Sixty82, all of them officially represented by Stonex in Spain. Many took advantage of this special edition to present new products, consolidating their leadership in a sector that continues to evolve.

50 years of ETC celebrated in style and with a good dose of new features

Between spotlights, talks, reunions and happy hours, the ETC stand was one of the most eye-catching in Prolight + Sound 2025. And no wonder: they celebrated their 50th anniversary and did so in the best way they know how: with long-awaited releases that are going to be the talk of the town.

One of the main dishes was the new generation of Hog consoles, which arrives with a complete redesign: more power, more portability, and a much smoother interface, without losing an ounce of the DNA that has made it a classic lighting control product. It was possible to see it in action, test it, and begin to imagine what this new era for the Hog family will be like. It was literally the center of attention of every participant who passed by its stand!

In terms of lighting, ETC took the opportunity to present two very powerful updates to its ColorSource range. On the one hand, the new ColorSource PAR V Zoom, which adds a five-color system for even richer and more precise mixing, along with a very practical manual zoom (from 17° to 41°). It also features wireless DMX control and NFC configuration, making it easier to work with quick setups or complex installations.

Also joining the event was ColorSource Fresnel V MAX, an evolution of the previous model with high-efficiency optics and an output level that practically doubles its output. This new LED Fresnel offers a soft beam, flicker-free 16-bit hybrid dimming, and color mixing that maintains color fidelity even at low intensity levels. Ideal for those who require precision and performance in all types of productions.

But it didn't stop at just the lights. RigPOV was another new feature that sparked curiosity: a system that allows cameras to be integrated into the rig itself, designed to offer new perspectives during programming. Compatible with Eos v3.3 and tracking systems, it opens up a new range of possibilities for viewing what's happening above, without moving from the controller.

Another of the bets was ETC SiteLink, a cloud platform designed to centralize the control and monitoring of an entire technical system, from stage machinery to lighting networks to architectural systems, all accessible from anywhere. A major advance in the field of remote monitoring.

The presentation was also made Foundry Switch Panel, a new, compact relay system compatible with the entire ETC ecosystem. An efficient and simple solution to facilitate the work of technicians and integrators seeking reliability and agility in their projects.

Another tool that did not go unnoticed was the F-Drive, a remote power supply system for LED luminaires developed by ETC. This device centralizes the management of LED drivers in accessible racks, eliminating the need to integrate the drivers into each luminaire. The result is a much cleaner, more efficient, and easier-to-maintain installation. F-Drive It makes a big difference in everyday technical work: in the event of any failure, it is no longer necessary to go to the trusses or disassemble the entire luminaire. Simply inspect or replace the driver from a safe and accessible position, saving time, reducing risks, and improving system performance.

Effects, power, and a lot of personality: Claypaky's offering in Frankfurt

In this edition of Prolight + Sound, Claypaky made it clear again that the effects are more alive than ever. With a carefully crafted and purposeful staging, their stand became a must-see for those seeking visual inspiration and new tools to create impactful moments on stage.

Among the new features, the new one stood out Tambora Stormy Linear, an IP66 hybrid bar that combines the best of both worlds: strobe and pixel mapping, all in one. Featuring 10 high-power, individually controllable RGBW LED segments, it can operate as either a wash or a blinder, making it perfect for large-scale synchronized effects or creating dynamic modular setups.

Another interesting proposal was the Tambora Glare, which blends a retro aesthetic with modern LED technology. This device features five high-power RGBW central sources alongside five "glare" lights that create a warm, scenic, immersive effect. With independent pixel control and a striking design, it's ideal for festivals or television productions where the image counts as much as the light.

And if we talk about impressive effects, we couldn't miss the Volero TwinsThis hybrid is in a league of its own: two 600W RGBW LED engines, each with its own lens and optics, that move independently in Pan, Tilt, and Zoom. The result? A solid, three-dimensional volumetric beam that allows for powerful combinations in motion. A creative tool for those looking to take effects to a new visual level.

Stradale Profile, Ayrton's new compact (and powerful) offering at Prolight + Sound

One of the stands that attracted the most attention at Prolight + Sound was, as usual, that of Ayrton. His live show was repeated every 30 minutes and left everyone with their mouths open: more than 100 moving heads (among which the Kyalami, Mamba, Veloce Wash, Nando 502 Wash and the new Stradale Profile) in perfect synchrony, creating a striking visual experience. They also had a VIP area for partners and clients, a relaxed space ideal for discussing innovation and networking with professionals from around the world. But without a doubt, the star of the show was the launch of the Stradale Profile, the first model of its new Serie 1A team that arrives with a clear mission: redefine what we mean by a compact profile.

With only 23,5 kg weight, this new luminaire is designed to offer power and versatility in a lightweight format, designed to perform at its best both indoors and outdoors, even in demanding environments such as salt water.

Under its compact body, it hides a 330W LED source (6500K) capable of generating up to 20.000 lumensa zoom from 4° to 52° through a 13-lens optical system and a 140mm front lens. Added to this is its infinite rotation in pan and tilt, a system of full framing with blades over 100% of the beam, and a mix of color that matches Progressive CMY with extended CTO (2700K–6500K) and a wheel with 7 filters.

In the effects section it does not fall short: it has 19 HD gobos, rotating double prism, multi-color filter, two types of frost and an adjustment system CRI from 70 to 86 which allows the chromatic response to be adapted according to the needs of the project.

Stradale Profile arrives with a strong presence with a compact, powerful and highly creative proposal, especially designed for tours, television and live events where both performance and agility in assembly are valued. Because in AyrtonWe already know that making something smaller doesn't mean giving up on the spectacle. On the contrary: it means taking it even further.

But that's not all, Ayrton also showed off several new features that we'll soon tell you about, but you'll have to wait a little longer!

Solutions that shone again

And while we've wrapped up our review of the main new products here, other brands were also present, showcasing solutions we'd already seen at ISE 2025, but that deserved to be seen in action again. This is the case of Portman, with her new OmniRay, A hybrid LED luminaire with seven sources and an iconic design that combines retro aesthetics with modern technology. Also present Sixty82, presenting its TPM39S, An ultralight pre-rig truss with integrated wheels, ideal for quick setup and logistics optimization. And as expected, Moveket It once again stood out with the latest in control systems and variable speed motors, reaffirming its position as a leader in Europe thanks to its commitment to precision and safety in stage movements.
