The Ayrton Cobras light up the return of La Raíz at the Movistar Arena.

The long-awaited return of La Raíz to the stage has been an event that thousands of people in the national music scene have been waiting for. After a six-year absence, the Valencian band sold out both of their concerts at what was formerly known as the WiZink Center in Madrid (now the Movistar Arena), putting on an electrifying show that combined music, the excitement of the reunion, and an impressive stage presence.

As it could not be otherwise, those who know the band well saw coming a very high level of organization and staging for their reunion, and lighting played a key role with no less than 100 moving heads Ayrton Cobra, provided by Stonex to the supplier company Use Sonido, which helped the band exceed all the expectations their fans had of the concert.

A lighting display worthy of the event

Caco García (@caco.garcia), the lighting and video designer for the show, opted for the Ayrton Cobras as the backbone of the show. These machines, with their IP65 laser beam technology, offered a combination of power, definition and versatility which perfectly matched the energy the band wanted to convey to their fans during the show. The quality of its color mixing, combined with its ability to generate sharp, long-range beams, created an immersive visual atmosphere and high-impact effects.

More than 30.000 people witnessed a lighting design that enhanced every moment of the show: from the instrumental solos to the rhythm changes. The combination of dynamic gobos, prisms and color transitions contributed to a visual narrative that accompanied the intensity of the concert.

This is how the design and distribution of the Ayrton Cobra was conceived

To meet the demands of the assembly, the Cobras were positioned on several key lines: on the upper trusses, projecting beams that expanded the spatial perception of the venue, on the floor, generating highly dramatic ascending effects, and on the sides of the stage, framing the scenery and providing an immersive sensation during the most important songs of the concert.

The result: a lighting system with the power necessary to stand out in a large-scale venue and the flexibility to adapt to every nuance of the show. The Cobra's ability to maintain an intense and defined beam over long distances proved to be a key factor in the visual success of the event.

A benchmark assembly in the industry

The event had the collaboration of the supplier company Use Sound, responsible for supplying the equipment and ensuring flawless set-up. The synergy between the design, operations, and production teams was key to achieving a show that lived up to the expectations generated.

His quick response and compatibility with protocols such as DMX and Art-Net allowed for precise synchronization with the music and other stage elements, creating an immersive experience for the audience.

Ultimately, with impeccable technical staging and an execution equal to the challenge, La Raíz's return was marked not only by its music, but by a visual production that set a new standard in the live music scene.
