The Alcázar de San Juan theater is equipped with the ETC V series, betting on 5-color LED technology. The Emilio Gavira has been the first to install the new trim that incorporates much of ETC's color research and superior series functionalities at a reduced price. The V series is consolidated as a premium and highly versatile option for spaces of all formats.
At the Emilio Gavira Theater, Stonex has installed 22 ETC ColorSource Spot V Zoom, 10 with 15-30° optics in the front gallery, replacing the 8 previously existing 2Kw cutouts; 6 with 25-50° optics and another 6 with 15-30° optics on stage, which in turn replace the same number of conventional spotlights with the same characteristics, but with a 1Kw lamp each spotlight.
The theater has a capacity of 847 seats and develops an important theatrical and musical activity, in addition to different programs of conferences, congresses and cinema, being a cultural reference in the city. Thus, the space was looking for equipment with great performance, very versatile and with good energy efficiency, since they coexist with some conventional equipment.
Engineered for superb color rendering
The ColorSource Spot V incorporates ETC's 5-color technology, with an array of red, green, blue, indigo, and lime LEDs. Thanks to the mixture of red and lime, better warm colors are achieved, while that of blue and lime provide better CTB correctors. With them it is possible to create pastels, more pleasant saturated colors and a greater quantity and better quality of ambers, whites and correctors.
Not only good colors are achieved, but also excellent color consistency and integrity thanks to its calibration and thermal compensation algorithms. As explained by Paco Librado, technical director of Emilio Gavira "the ColorSource Spot V takes very good care of the tones that you want to achieve, what used to be done conventionally with jellies, is now all integrated into a single device, in addition to achieving very bright tones, it has a very considerable light power. "
Focused on versatility and energy efficiency
The V-Series incorporates top-of-the-line functions and features such as NFC for your setup, Multiverse wireless DMX, a soft focus diffuser, powerCON True 1, DMX/RDM in/trhu… Plus, you can configure it with a wide variety of optics and accessories.
This gives the ColorSource Spot V a great versatility that for Paco Librado has been key in the decision, since a team is needed that "allows the generation of all the effects of the work, managing to meet the most demanding scenography and staging objectives."
The V Series is a very sustainable option thanks to its low consumption without sacrificing performance, something key for the technical director who highlights that "it is very important to think about energy efficiency, the main advantage of the ColorSource V is that they consume fewer watts, approximately 80% energy savings are achieved, without any loss of power in Compared with conventional ones, it must also be taken into account that significant savings are made in lamps and gelatin filters”.
