The massive electronic music event has had two Pixelmap Studios designs in which the premium control and lighting brands represented in Spain by Stonex stand out.
Electronics, light and a lot of dancing meet every year in Villaricos (Almería) where thousands of people gather for four days to enjoy one of the biggest musical shows nationwide divided into two stages: Main Stage y Dreams Tent.
Spectacular lighting plays a leading role in these types of events where the choice of material is of the utmost importance. In the last four years the design of the scenarios has been a work of Eduardo Valverde de Pixelmap Studios counting on material from the rental company Fluge.
In their designs the common factor is the construction of gigantic structures that create the illusion of being before an authentic temple of music. Among the most recent are the festival stages Love the Tuenties, Love the 90s, A Summer Story, Hallowants and in the events Red bull Battle of the Roosters, among others.
“In the case of Dreams Tent the main complication was to convert a tent of 100 meters long by 40 wide in a club ”, explains the designer, who this year has worked alongside Carlos Fernandez. "We had to look for that closeness between the DJ and the public and that this be at ease, creating that intimate atmosphere except for the peak moments, where you have to dazzle to increase the work of the DJs," he continues.
The power of MA Lighting in command
Controlling a scenario in which so many devices converge and in which its synchronization with music is so important is not work for any console. MA Lighting It has been the brand chosen once again to take control of the lighting of the two scenarios. "It is the most stable and comfortable of the consoles we work with, and thanks to its network system we can make large parameter expansions to handle large facilities," says Eduardo. “Only on stage Dreams Tent we handle more than 400 lighting fixtures of which 240 were mobile spotlights, ”he adds.
