A new way to design the lighting of the spaces working with three dimensions and augmented reality thanks to the power of this new software v3.0
The new software update for the EOS consoles will include Augment3d, the new 3D and augmented reality viewer that has arrived to change the way in which the lighting design is worked with EOS. After its presentation during the last edition of Prolight + Sound, it has aroused many expectations and users of EOS They are already waiting impatiently for the update.
It is an innovative tool designed to save time and money in the entire assembly process of a lighting show. Augment3d is the brand's first integrated 3D programming environment. Thanks to it, users will be able to design and control a three-dimensional space in virtual form, as well as using the new augmented reality technology, fully integrated in remote applications. EOS.

Although the release of its beta version is planned for this summer, the company has already started sharing small tips to get the most out of this viewer that you can find in the Youtube channel Stonex, official distributor of ETC in Spain. The final version will be available in fall 2019.
A powerful tool for illuminators
Its main function is to work in conjunction with the EOS consoles from Element to Ti, but it is expected that in the future Augment3d will be integrated with other ETC controls. In this way, the company intends to expand the philosophy of this new proposal to all its business lines.

One of Augment3d's strengths is that they have not focused on modeling 3D per se -there are many softwares that do an impeccable job in this field- but it allows to import any creation that we already have worked from another program, being compatible with a multitude of file types. Currently working on improved integrations with the popular Vectorworks.
And for those who do not work with 3D modelers, the program itself has a wide variety of objects in stock to create a space from scratch by adding appliances, furniture and even people.

The software is designed to work with the way in which light is distributed in space. Now in EOS, when we are in the patch option, each channel has a position and orientation option, so we say to our model in 3D where are these devices and where are they oriented?
Augment3d It has a simple and intuitive interface to add objects and to import projects and move around the space or change the view of it. It is a very useful tool to calculate at a glance how an illuminated space will look and optimize the programming process.
