After its appearance in Prolight + Sound 2019 this new mobile head with IP65 is now available through Stonex, official supplier of the brand.
There comes the time of festivals and large outdoor events and when acquiring new material there are few options that really offer guarantees under all kinds of weather conditions. The cost of accessories such as coatings that allow us to isolate appliances from water or the distribution of tarpaulins to prevent spotlights from getting wet, can complicate the entire assembly process.
In this situation, the most powerful brands have decided to launch mobile heads that can work outdoors even in rainy conditions. The latest addition to the world of water resistant devices has been Perseus of Ayrton, distributed in Spain by Stonex.
It is a very powerful tool with which to work in all kinds of outdoor spaces. Perseo arrives just in time for the season in which more festivals are held and where more investment is made by rental companies to get new devices that adapt to the current situation of the sector: powerful and versatile mobile LED source heads.
Maximum resistance against dust and moisture
Thanks to its IP65 (index of protection against dust and dirt) offers an extraordinary resistance to water and dirt from the environment, compared to conventional devices that are usually qualified as IP20. According to this scale, Perseus offers the highest resistance against dust and a very considerable resistance to water - the highest values correspond to submersible devices.
In Perseo, resistance and versatility coexist. Its monochromatic LED chip calibrated to 8000K offers a metallic white light of 27.000 lumens supported by only 500W. One of the most popular features of the new heads with LED technology in which power, profitability and energy savings go hand in hand.
Creativity without limits in exterior
But do not forget the creative possibilities offered by this new luminaire in terms of color, projections and framing. Perseus It has a CMY + CTO color mixing system and a six-color wheel with which to achieve an infinite number of tones, a way to multiply the options to the maximum and satisfy the needs of the illuminators.
Thanks to its system of motorized blades it allows to cut the work area, becoming a highly versatile focus that allows to work from classic spaces such as theaters, to large stages where several bulbs coexist and whose beams should not be crossed. It is perfect for illuminating certain parts of a stage or even facades thanks to its wide zoom range, from 7º to 56º.
With Perseo, Ayrton continues its commitment to launch products with state-of-the-art technology that accompanies the technological career that the professional lighting sector lives today.
