Lighting control, protagonist on the events of Spanish fashion

The importance of the control and the lighting of events gain relevance in those spaces where the perception of color, fabrics and a perfect control of the lighting become essential variables for success. The International Flamenco Fashion Show and Madrid Fashion Week have been two of the great spaces where their success has been accompanied by professional lighting based on detail.

Fashion events are always an occasion to work light in a special and different way. During the last edition of Fashion Week Madrid, lighting played a leading role. The atmosphere in the different parades and shows, the amount of light that the catwalk must receive, the fidelity with which all colors must be appreciated, or an exhaustive control of the spaces, are some of the essential points based on good lighting. When you choose the material you have to do it always from the demand to obtain professional results at the height of the most important Fashion Show in Spain. An event that included the assembly of Fluge Audiovisuales.

For this occasion, both devices capable of producing vivid and bright colors and luminaires that control room light were needed. The lighting characteristic in these cases focuses the attention and the greater luminosity in the center of the catwalk, while the lateral ones, where the spectators are located, remain in the dark.

It is necessary to cut out the light, focus the beam and be able to control its opening so that the models receive the right amount of light. Depending on the drama of each parade, different lighting is used, so the chosen luminaires must have the greatest versatility of use.

The use of gobos or wheels of animations and aerial effects manage to intensify the atmosphere that differentiates a sober from a carefree style, a closing parade from the beginning of a presentation. The goal is to be able to play with the possibilities offered by both space and the occasion, with fashion being one of the areas in which you can always take risks.

Room lighting and spectacular

The luminaires chosen to create the living room light, among others, were the ArcSystem Cell Pro 4 y ArcSystem Cell Pro 2 de GDS. The decision to implement this type of luminaires was especially influenced by its low consumption and its ability to go from a total brightness to the off with a dimmer and adjustable dimmer. The event required a lighting system that contributed to the elegance of the environment, providing room lighting and respecting the tonalities of the creations to the maximum.

Colors, projections and effects were work of the luminaries of Claypaky, among others, placed in the Multipurpose Room of the 14 Pavilion of IFEMA. They intervened both 14 units of the A.LEDA B-EYE K10 como 46 MYTHOS representing in a single event the complex moment that lives the whole sector of the lighting, where the transition to the LED causes that in many occasions this new technology coexists in a same space with its predecessor, the illumination with conventional lamps.

In the case of the International Flamenco Fashion Show, which took place last February at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones of Sevilla Fibes, the atmosphere was less sober and more colorful. The spectacular lighting had a high profile, from the parades to the entrance to the building itself. Among others, the luminaries responsible for coloring the space were the Ghibli de Ayrton, a powerful Spot with blades whose gobos were protagonists. An occasion for which he relied on the company Crambo Rent.

For its part, for the lighting of the catwalk, where the most important thing is to respect the colors of the flamenco dresses, the following were used, among others: Axcor BEAM 300 de Claypaky, achieving a game of lights in the interior that gave the event a folkloric atmosphere.
